Hotel Anamichu Suites is bright, friendly, and family-oriented. Lying in the heart of what has become known as Colombia's "City of Swimming Pools," just down from Bogotá's cool altitudes, this place marks all that hot lowland music-and-water fun which Melgar offers so well. Mostly aimed at families or groups of friends looking for an honest weekend break without pretensions, its several pools and waterslide basking under the sun reflect perfectly a traditional holiday here: daytime working on suntans followed by joining into night socializing when darkness falls. Sitting somewhere between budget hotel and recreation center with indoor environments safe enough to allow kids play while their parents relax over cold beers by poolside bar.

Ups & Downs - Hotel Anamichu Suites

  • It has an excellent swimming pool area with a water slide which is mostly favored by children and automatically turns the stay into a “water park” experience.
  • The rooms have air conditioning. This is totally compulsory in Melgar, a town where temperatures seldom fall below 30 degrees Celsius.
  • It is located at a walking distance from the town center and Zona Rosa. This makes it perfectly accessible to all the nightlife and restaurants without being right in the middle of everything.
  • There is a restaurant and bar on the property, so one does not have to leave the pool deck to get lunch or a cocktail.
  • The place is very friendly and social. This works perfectly for groups that prefer music and a happy holiday vibe instead of complete silence.
  • × It gets extremely noisy, particularly over the weekend and holidays or "Puentes". Loud music at the pool area keeps playing all day long.
  • × The wi-fi is spotty and slow as infrastructure here in Melgar most times struggles with high demand.
  • × Basic functional would be more of a proper description. Luxury linens or modern minimalist design should not be expected here.

Complete Review - Hotel Anamichu Suites

  • Price vs Quality A good, mid-range option. Has pools, entertainment - all at a generally very competitive price for this area.
  • Service Experience Very used to dealing with big families- friendly staff but service becomes laid back(lazy) when fully occupied.
  • Hotel Location Nicely located. Set back enough from the main road for security but close enough to walk to all major attractions.
  • Area & Access The area is comprised of a miscellany between other holiday homes and hotels with small stores. Safe but busy.
  • Clean & Tidy The rooms are mostly clean. It is humid in this part of the country, therefore maintenance becomes a constant battle against wear and tear.
  • Breakfast Quality This is generally the kind of food found at Colombian vacation spots-a big hearty breakfast of eggs and arepas, grilled meat for lunch.
