-
Price vs Quality
A good, mid-range option. Has pools, entertainment - all at a generally very competitive price for this area.
-
Service Experience
Very used to dealing with big families- friendly staff but service becomes laid back(lazy) when fully occupied.
-
Hotel Location
Nicely located. Set back enough from the main road for security but close enough to walk to all major attractions.
-
Area & Access
The area is comprised of a miscellany between other holiday homes and hotels with small stores. Safe but busy.
-
Clean & Tidy
The rooms are mostly clean. It is humid in this part of the country, therefore maintenance becomes a constant battle against wear and tear.
-
Breakfast Quality
This is generally the kind of food found at Colombian vacation spots-a big hearty breakfast of eggs and arepas, grilled meat for lunch.
-
Bed & Pillows
They serve the purpose of sleep with several beds in most rooms to cater to big families. Minimal storage space.
-
Wi-Fi Experience
Sufficient for WhatsApp messages home telling everyone how great a time you’re having, but not suitable for remote working or streaming movies.
-
Hotel Freshness
‘Tropical Fiesta’. It’s bright and buzzy and loud. During high season it feels like one long never-ending pool party.
-
Soundproofing
If you are a heavy sleeper, the hum of the AC will lull you to sleep before your head even touches the pillow. In case someone is sensitive , either to street noise or any late night revelers making their way home then that could be an issue.
-
Long Stay Suitability
Perfect spot for a 2-3 night weekend trip. Anything longer might start to feel repetitive unless you plan on exploring the surrounding region.
-
Parking Availability
They have parking which is crucial since most people come from Bogotá by private car.
